‘Sail the World’ Weekend

Sail The World On 1-2 September

Location: Southampton, Great Britain

The ‘Sail the World’ weekend 1-2 September is set to be one of the highlights of ISAF Centenary celebrations and a perfect opportunity to promote sailing around the world. The aim is simple: get out on the water and get sailing! The newly launched ‘Sail the World’ pack contains all the details on how to get involved.

ISAF wants everyone to join in and help celebrate the 100th birthday of the International Sailing Federation, getting as many people involved in our sport as possible. The ‘Sail the World’ pack (attached) contains details on how MNAs, classes, clubs and individuals can get involved in the weekend and make it one of the lasting memories of the ISAF Centenary.

Included in the pack are details of the ‘Sail the World’ logo and how it can be adapted for every event taking place on 1-2 September. ISAF will also be honouring every participant in ‘Sail the World’, and the pack has more details about the different certificates and awards available.

‘Sail the World’ is open to everyone around the world. Every participant counts – just do not forget to tell us about your weekend. Email sailtheworld@isaf.co.uk and look at the ‘Sail the World’ microsite www.sailing.org/sailtheworld to find out all the latest about what is going on.
